Iran Credits Pakistan for Historic US-Iran Peace Breakthrough

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s planned visit to Switzerland has been cancelled after the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States and Iran was signed remotely. The agreement was first signed by the US and Iranian presidents, followed by PM Shehbaz Sharif as mediator. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian thanked Pakistan, particularly PM Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, for their pivotal role in facilitating the landmark peace agreement aimed at promoting regional stability and cooperation.
