MCB Bank Reports Rs55.1bn PBT, Dividend Raised to Rs18 Per Share

MCB Bank Ltd reported a profit before tax of Rs55.1 billion and profit after tax of Rs26.5 billion for the half year ended June 30, 2026, while earnings per share were recorded at Rs22.34. On a consolidated basis, PBT and PAT were reported at Rs58.8 billion and Rs28.1 billion, respectively. The financial statements were reviewed and approved by the board, chaired by Mian Mohammad Mansha. A second interim cash dividend of Rs9 per share was declared, taking the cumulative 2026 dividend to Rs18 per share.

Pakistan-Made Suzuki Cars Enter Brunei

Pakistan’s auto industry has achieved a major export milestone as Pak Suzuki Motor Company-made Alto and Every models were launched in Brunei. Suzuki said this marks its first export from an overseas production base of models matching the body size and engine specifications of Japanese mini-vehicles. The launch expands Suzuki’s automobile lineup in Brunei. Distributor Boustead will also begin selling Suzuki motorcycles in the country around autumn 2026.
