Pakistan Hit by Record 32% Increase in RLNG Prices

Pakistan’s RLNG prices have been raised by a record 32% for August. Rates have been fixed at $25.83 per mmBtu for SNGPL and $25.09 for SSGC, with the retail price estimated at Rs7,204 per mmBtu. The increase has been driven by five expensive spot-market LNG cargoes after supplies from Qatar could not be secured amid the US-Iran war. August’s RLNG rate is around 148% higher than February’s price, and power-generation costs are expected to be significantly increased.
