Global Oil Market Is Shaken as Brent and WTI Slide Sharply

Oil prices were driven sharply lower on Monday after strikes between the United States and Iran were paused over the weekend. Brent crude futures were reduced by 5.05% to $91.89, while US West Texas Intermediate crude was pushed down 5.23% to $84.64 per barrel. Both benchmarks were traded at their lowest levels in nearly a week. Prices had previously been lifted above $100 as oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz and Red Sea routes were disrupted by the conflict.

Pakistan-Made Suzuki Cars Enter Brunei

Pakistan’s auto industry has achieved a major export milestone as Pak Suzuki Motor Company-made Alto and Every models were launched in Brunei. Suzuki said this marks its first export from an overseas production base of models matching the body size and engine specifications of Japanese mini-vehicles. The launch expands Suzuki’s automobile lineup in Brunei. Distributor Boustead will also begin selling Suzuki motorcycles in the country around autumn 2026.
